Alas, a new year is upon us, demarcated arbitrarily by some Roman Ruler in literally the B.C. (to honor some God or Goddess) and then, once more, by the Pope hundreds of years ago. Time is a construct. Doesn’t it make more sense to begin the “new year” in March on the Equinox, the first day of Spring, aka the time of rebirth? Just a thought…
Anyways, I’m a fan of resolutions and always view January as a month for reflection and goal setting, for scrubbing my metaphorical mirror and looking myself in the face. We’ve come a long way in 2024 but there’s always work to do.
